Mike is a 30-year healthcare veteran and an avid podcast listener. Mike’s thesis for ConveyMED is that podcasting is an underutilized medium to deliver professional education and a new solution is needed so that physicians can take full advantage of the value of mobile audio. Prior to starting ConveyMED, Mike was the SVP of Global Marketing for the Orthopedic division of Smith & Nephew where he held multiple leadership roles in product marketing, medical education, marketing communications, R&D, and commercialization. As a former physical therapist, Mike understands the importance of ongoing clinical education for the sake of optimal patient care.
Chris is a former executive in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry where he held several senior sales and marketing leadership roles with companies such as Memphis-based GTx, Warner Chilcott, and GlaxoSmithKline. These roles included general management, medical education, strategic and in-line marketing, and senior sales leadership. Throughout his career, Chris has routinely collaborated with key opinion leaders and societies on physician education initiatives.
Lauralan is your ConveyMED partner champion – working with you to develop and deliver world class mobile education content strategies. Leveraging an Engineering degree and MBA, Lauralan has spent more than 35 years in med device product development, marketing, and medical education working with clinicians to launch and educate on a wide variety of reconstructive devices. Her focus on Women’s initiatives includes Univ. of Memphis’ Women in Engineering Task Force, panelist for UofM’s Biomaterials Day “Empowering Women in Engineering” and CBU’s Women’s Leadership Conference “Climbing the Success Ladder” and was honored to deliver the keynote address at AAHKS’s first Women in Arthroplasty meeting.
Kevin is a professional Computer Software Engineer and Manager with 25+ yrs of experience in the commercial software industry. He has 10+ yrs working with cellular and distributed computing technologies, 3 yrs in Healthcare, and an additional 5+ years in general technology development. He has over 15 years of management experience leading software development teams in various industries. Kevin’s specialties include Executive Management; Software Development, Project, and Product Management; Coding in Java, C# / .NET, MERN, Django, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, & more; Systems Integration and Composite Applications; Technical Training and Documentation; Location and proximity-based Software Solutions.
